TRENTON-Reggie Coleman CEO of Boys & Girls of Mercer County shares his deep love for the Trenton community, where he has worked in nearly every role at the Boys & Girls Club but stays because serving the people who raised him inspires him. He highlights that the club is for everyone—African Americans, Latinos, whites, children, and families of all backgrounds—offering a safe and inclusive space. With pride, he explains that membership is only $25 a year, but no child is ever turned away, ensuring access to programs like extracurricular activities, summer camps, food pantries, and family support. He invites more families, especially Latino families, to join, emphasizing that the Boys & Girls Club’s mission is to build a place where every child and family feels valued and supported. The interview was conducted during the Boys & Girls Cultural Festival held in Trenton last Saturday, September 27, in commemoration of Hispanic Heritage Month in the United States.
